CNC Turner / Programmer – Mazak (Precision Engineering)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (shift options available — see below)
The opportunity
ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner / Programmer on behalf of a forward-thinking precision engineering company with a modern, well-equipped workshop running some of the latest Mazak machines. You'll programme and operate a variety of lathes, including machines with live tooling, producing precision components for specialist equipment and high-end scientific customers.
The role
* Programming and operating CNC lathes, including live-tooling machines
* Producing high-tolerance precision components to the highest standards
* Machining a variety of metals and plastics
* Working to tight tolerances with excellent attention to detail
* Maintaining a clean, organised workspace
About you
* Experienced CNC Turner
* Mazatrol experience essential
* Live-tooling experience desirable
* A highly accurate and efficient worker
* Experience machining a range of metals and plastics
* Experience of high-tolerance work
* Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality
Hours / shift patterns (37.5-hour week):
* Late shift: 13:30–22:15 Monday to Thursday, 13:30–18:00 Friday
* Early shift: 06:00–14:00 Monday to Friday
