CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator - Turner
Pay Rate: £17.00 to £20.00 per hour
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Shift Pattern:
_ Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm

An established precision engineering manufacturer is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator -Turning to join its growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern machining environment producing high-precision components across a wide range of industries and materials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Sliding Head CNC Turning Centres, supporting both new product introduction and existing production processes.

Key Responsibilities
_ Programming and editing CNC programs using Fanuc
_ Setting and operating Turning machines efficiently and safely
_ Producing first-off components to engineering drawings and quality standards
_ Supporting production through tooling preparation, machine setup and process prove-outs
_ Managing tooling wear, offsets and tool life during production runs
_ Carrying out in-process inspection using a range of measurement equipment
_ Recording production, setting and scrap information accurately within production systems
_ Assisting with continuous improvement and process development activities
_ Completing TPM and routine machine maintenance activities
_ Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
Candidate Requirements
_ Strong background in Turning
_ Experience programming, setting and operating lathes
_ Ability to create and edit programs using Fanuc controls
_ Good understanding of tooling, cutting data, machining strategies and material behaviour
_ Experience working with a variety of materials including aluminium, steel, titanium and Inconel
_ Confident using inspection equipment and first-principles measurement techniques
_ Strong attention to detail with a proactive and quality-focused approach
