Days
This Leeds-based precision engineering business is looking for a CNC Miller Setter Operator with solid programming capability to join a close-knit machining team. The work is varied, the tolerances are tight, and the expectation is that you can hit the floor running.
What You'll Be Doing
* Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines from scratch
* Working with Fanuc, Heidenhain, and/or Siemens control systems
* Selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new programs
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
* Carrying out inspection and applying quality standards throughout the process
* Contributing to continuous improvement on the shop floor

What You'll Need
Essential:
* Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
* Competent with at least one of: Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls
* Ability to read engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances
* Solid understanding of tooling selection, offsets, and program prove-out
* Strong grasp of quality standards and inspection techniques
Desirable:
* Hands-on experience with XYZ CNC milling machines
* Background producing components across varied industry sectors
