CNC Turner – Defence Manufacturing
Stockport | £19.97 per hour + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
Due to retirement, an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to join a leading international defence manufacturer experiencing significant growth and investment at its Stockport facility.

Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–3:30pm; Friday, 7:00am–12:00pm
The Role:
Working within a skilled manufacturing team, you'll be producing high-quality precision-engineered components for advanced military equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
* Working accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Carrying out tool changes, offsets and machining adjustments.
* Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment.
* Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
* Supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
About You
* Experience as a CNC Turner, Setter or CNC Machinist.
* Confident setting and operating CNC lathes.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Good understanding of machining tolerances and inspection techniques.
* Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or similar CNC controls advantageous.
* A positive attitude and pride in producing high-quality work.
CNC programming experience is not essential.
