Thorp Arch, Wetherby | £32,000–£36,000 (DOE) | Permanent | Days
A precision engineering business near Wetherby is looking for a CNC Turner to join its team. You'll be working on a mix of batch production and R&D work across aerospace, telecoms, and automotive sectors - varied work with plenty of overtime available for those who want it.
What you'll be doing:
Setting and operating HAAS and Doosan CNC lathes (multi-spindle)
Working across batch sizes from one-offs through to 1,000+ off
Supporting R&D and prototype work alongside standard production
Programming at the machine (for those with programming experience)
What you need:
Proven CNC turning experience
Fanuc and/or Haas controls ideal
Confident setting and operating CNC lathes
Ability to work from engineering drawings
Programming experience desirable but not essential - salary reflects both levels
What's on offer:
£32,000 (setter/operator) or £36,000 (with programming experience)
Monthly performance bonus: £50 - £400
Weekday overtime - base rate + £6.50 p/h after 10 hours
Saturday overtime - base rate + £6.50 p/h
Sunday overtime - double time
Bank holidays - double time plus day in lieu
Days: 07:30 - 16:00, Mon - Thu / 07:30 - 15:00 Fri
