CNC Turner | CNC Programmer Setter Operator | CNC Lathe Programmer
Witham, Essex
£17.00 - £20.00 per hour + Overtime + Bonus
Our client is a successful subcontract precision engineering business supplying high-quality precision-machined components to the Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical, Oil & Gas and Commercial Engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator to programme, set and operate CNC lathes within their modern machine shop.
This position is ideal for a skilled CNC Lathe Programmer, CNC Turner, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or Precision Engineer with experience producing precision components to tight tolerances.

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties
Programme, set and operate CNC lathes
Work on Doosan CNC Turning Centres
Prove out new CNC programmes
Optimise CNC machining cycle times
Manufacture precision-machined components from engineering drawings
Produce components to tight tolerances, including 20 microns
Carry out first-off inspection and in-process inspection
Ensure all components meet customer quality standards and specifications
Maintain a safe, organised and efficient machine shop
Requirements
Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or CNC Machinist
Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances within precision engineering
Knowledge of Doosan, Puma, Haas or similar CNC turning centres
Online CNC programming experience preferred (training available)
Apprentice trained or time-served engineers welcome
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
