CNC Day Shift Operator (Permanent Days) – Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a permanent day shift role with opportunities to develop your skills? We are recruiting for a skilled CNC Day Shift Operator to join a growing and well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained or time-served engineer with CNC turning experience who is looking to work within a modern manufacturing environment supplying high-profile industries.

Location: Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: 38.5 hours per week (Permanent Days)
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

* Set, operate and, where applicable, programme CNC turning lathes.

* Carry out multiple machine set-ups throughout the day.

* Machine small to medium batch components to tight tolerances.

* Perform self-inspection using manual measuring equipment.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.

* Maintain high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.

* Apprentice trained or time-served engineering background.

* Experience setting and operating 2 and 3-axis CNC machines using Fanuc controls.

* Knowledge of SMX3100 Multi-Axis Mill Turn machines and on-machine programming is advantageous (training can be provided).

* Previous experience machining precision components for sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Medical, or other advanced manufacturing industries.

* Ability to work confidently to tight machining tolerances.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
