Salary: £19.00–£22.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday: 31 days per annum

The Opportunity

AKP Limited is looking for an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our skilled manufacturing team.

The Role

Working from customer drawings and specifications, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls to manufacture high-precision components.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls

* Producing high-precision components to customer drawings and specifications

* Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings

* Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds and machining methods

* Carrying out dimensional and quality checks to ensure components meet specification

* Maintaining consistently high standards of accuracy and workmanship

* Organising your workload effectively to meet production requirements

* Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods, efficiency and quality

* Working in accordance with the company's Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

* Has proven experience as a CNC Turner

* Can confidently program, set and operate CNC turning machines

* Has good working knowledge of Fanuc controls

* Can work accurately from engineering drawings and customer specifications

* Understands the importance of precision, quality and attention to detail

* Is organised, reliable and able to manage their own workload

* Takes pride in producing high-quality components

* Works well both independently and as part of a team

Experience within a high-precision, aerospace or similarly quality-focused engineering environment would be advantageous.
