CNC Sliding Head Programmer

Questech are working with a large machining company that have heavily invested into modern machines.

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Programmer to work for our client who are located close to Rotherham / Barnsley

THE DUTIES OF A CNC SLIDING HEAD PROGRAMMER :

* CNC turning of complex precision engineered components

* Confident of working on medium to high volume batch work and fully skilled to program, set and operate CNC Sliding head Machines

* Able to interpret engineering drawings and job routings to setup and program a wide range of turning/milling operations on both repeat and new components.

* Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling.

* Fully experienced with the machining of both standard and more exotic raw materials.

* Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.

* Fully competent with all types of inspection equipment to verify component quality.

* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

* Minimum 10 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background

* Excellent communication skills

THE HOURS:

Days and afters rotating , weekly

Days - 6.30am -3pm Mon-Thur, 6.30am -2pm Fri,

Lates - 2.30pm – 11pm Mon-Thur, 1pm -8.30pm Fri

THE PAY:

* You will earn an hourly rate of between £18-19ph an hour depending on experience.

* OT paid @ 1.5x (basic + bonus)

* 6% bonus eligible after probation
