CNC Setter/Operator
Location: Whitstable
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £26,200 - £31,200 + Shift allowance
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our client's Machine Shop team in Whitstable. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from bar stock for their internal assembly flow lines, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery.
Day to Day of the role:
Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce small to medium size batches of work efficiently.
Inspecting work against engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and reporting any quality defects.
Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machines, maintaining good housekeeping standards, and adhering to 5S requirements.
Optimising efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus monitoring tool life.
De-burring, cleaning, final inspection, and completion of all traceability documentation.
Performing other duties as reasonably requested by management.Required Skills & Qualifications:
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths Grade C or above, or relevant experience.
Knowledge of operating CNC machine tools, with experience of CNC lathes with a minimum of 4 axis.
Experience of reading and editing Fanuc based programs.
Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings and able to inspect work using a range of measurement equipment.Benefits:
