Working Pattern: Full Time
Shift Pattern: Rotating Fortnightly (Week 1: Mon-Fri 6am-2pm; Week 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm-10:30pm & Fri 2pm-7:30pm)
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated CNC Setter / Operator to join their dynamic team in Whitstable. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to contribute to the production of high-quality components using advanced CNC multi-tasking lathes.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and operate CNC lathes to produce small to medium-sized batches efficiently.
Inspect work against engineering drawings using various measuring equipment.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to housekeeping standards.
Optimise efficiencies by reducing set-up and cycle times while monitoring tool life.
Carry out de-burring, cleaning, final inspection, and complete traceability documentation.
Collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality standards and meet production deadlines.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or relevant experience.
Proficient in operating CNC machine tools, particularly with experience in CNC lathes (minimum 4 axis).
Ability to read and edit Fanuc-based programmes and interpret engineering drawings.
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
Strong communication skills and a safety-conscious mindset.
Capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
