CNC Setter / Operator – Turning
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Salary: £43,200 per annum (including shift allowance)
Hours: Rotating Shifts – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm (Early Finish Fridays)

We're recruiting for an established manufacturing business in Stockport looking for a skilled CNC Setter / Operator to join its production team.
Working with CNC turning machinery, you'll be responsible for setting up equipment, adjusting tooling and producing precision-engineered components to exacting quality standards. Job Description
Set and operate CNC turning machines to production specifications.
Set tooling, fixtures, workholding and tool offsets.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
Carry out tool changes and adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
Identify and resolve machining issues to minimise downtime.
Complete quality checks and maintain accurate production records.
Support continuous improvement and maintain safe working practices.
Person Specification
Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
Fanuc controls experience strongly preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Good understanding of tooling, offsets and machining processes.
Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent experience).
Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Basic CNC programming knowledge would be advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
£43,200 annual salary, including shift allowance.
Weekly rotating shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm.
Early finish every Friday.
