We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment just outside Rochester area
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating Mori Seiki, Muratec and Citizen CNC machines, carrying out changeovers and production runs to drawing specifications and tight tolerances.
Key responsibilities include:
* Setting and operating CNC lathes and machining centres.
* Working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi control systems.
* Modifying and creating CNC programmes from engineering drawings (Training can be given)
* Selecting tooling and supporting machining output.
* Producing components to precise dimensions and tolerances.
* Carrying out quality checks using Verniers, micrometres, height gauges, gauges and SPC.
* Completing production and quality records.
* Carrying out routine machine checks and maintaining a clean, safe working area.
About You
* 3+ years' CNC setting/operating experience.
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Previous manufacturing experience.
* Experience with 5S/5C.
* Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
* Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
* Experience with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls and Mori Seiki, Citizen or Muratec machines is desirable.
* Relevant CNC programming qualification is desirable.
* Relevant apprenticeship preferred.
You'll work 6-2, 2-10 rotating weekly, no required weekends, no nights
