A leading precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC 5 Axis Setter to join its expanding machining team. Your New Role

As CNC 5 Axis Setter, you will be responsible for setting and proving out jobs, ensuring components are manufactured accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.Key responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
Working from engineering drawings, setup sheets and CNC programs.
Preparing tooling, fixtures and workholding equipment.
Setting tool and work offsets to achieve accurate component manufacture.
Proving out new and existing programs safely and efficiently.
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Working closely with programming, production and quality teams.
Maintaining quality, traceability and health & safety standards throughout production.
You'll Need to Succeed

Previous experience setting CNC milling machines within a manufacturing environment.
Ideally experienced on 5 Axis machinery, although experienced 3 Axis Setters looking to progress will also be considered.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working to tight tolerances.
Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, offsets and inspection techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable:

Experience with Heidenhain controls.
Background in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing environments.
Previous experience working with complex machined components.

Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £18.50 per hour basic pay. 20% shift allowance taking earnings to £19.20 - £22.20 per hour.
