Permanent, full-time position with stability and job securityResponsibilities:
Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines, specifically CNC milling and CNC turning, utilising Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the correct machining processes.
Select and load cutting tools, perform machine offsets, and ensure accurate setups for optimal productivity.
Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as needed, and perform quality checks to meet production targets.
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve machining processes and programmes.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Adhere to safety procedures and ensure a clean and organised work area at all times.Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Previous experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, with expertise in Fanuc controls.
Proficient in programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling and CNC turning machines.
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of machining processes and tooling selection.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues.
Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the Aerospace and/or Oil & Gas industry is a plus.Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience with other CNC controls and machinery.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
