Actio Recruitment is proud to represent a well-established engineering firm in Southampton seeking a skilled CNC Miller with Heidenhain / Fanuc programming experience. This is a permanent, day-shift role.
Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Heidenhain or Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines to produce precision parts to tight tolerances. The role suits a proactive machinist with a strong understanding of engineering drawings and confident in full-cycle machining.
Key Responsibilities:
* Programming at the machine using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls
* Setting and operating multi axis machinery
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Conducting in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
* Maintaining quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement
Requirements:
* Proven experience with Heidenhain / Fanuc controls
* Strong background in precision machining
* Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
* Familiarity with tight-tolerance work and varied materials
* Positive attitude and commitment to quality
Hours & Package:
* Day shift: Monday to Friday
* Competitive hourly rate circa £17.50 to £21.50 p/h depending on experience
* Onsite parking
* Permanent contract with immediate start for the right candidate
