Late Shift CNC Turner, Programmer

My client is a well established machine shop based in Leighton Buzzard, who, as part of their expansion are seeking an experienced CNC programmer who can write new CNC programs from scratch using G code programming.

This is a permanent late shift role working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday every Friday off. Monday to Wednesday 4.30 pm to 3.30 am Thursday 4.30 pm to 1 am. CANDIDATES MUST BE HAPPY WITH THESE HOURS.

The role responsibilities

* Writing CNC programs from scratch

* Confidently completing the full machine set from engineering drawings to finished component including material, tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting conditions etc

* Editing existing programs

* Reading Engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and inspection of final goods

* Doing Test cuts and time studies on behalf of the clients

* Use of Fanuc

Working in a small team but this is a permanent Late Shift role.
