CNC Programmer - Miller (Heidenhain)

Precision Engineering | 4-Day Week | Regular Overtime

The company

T3AM Global are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned precision engineering business based in Atherstone, Warwickshire.

Operating as a specialist subcontract machine shop, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality precision machining to customers across a range of demanding engineering sectors.

The business is extremely busy, financially stable and continues to invest in its machining capabilities. With a longstanding workforce and excellent working environment, they are now looking for an experienced CNC Programmer - Miller to join their growing team.

The role

A CNC Programmer - Miller is now required to programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery, predominantly using Heidenhain controls.

You will work within an experienced machine shop producing a varied range of precision components, including larger work and small batch production.

You will take responsibility for:

* Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
* Producing precision components from engineering drawings and specifications
* Working across one-off and small batch machining requirements
* Setting tooling, workholding and machining parameters
* Inspecting completed components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
* Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods, tooling and cycle times
* Working independently while supporting the wider production and engineering team

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

* Proven CNC milling experience
* Strong experience programming using Heidenhain controls
* Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery
* Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Good understanding of tooling, tolerances and precision machining

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

* Experience machining larger components
* Experience with one-off and small batch production
* Previous experience within a subcontract machining environment
* Experience producing complex or high-precision components

Candidates do not need to have experience across every type of work undertaken by the business. If you are a strong CNC Miller with Heidenhain programming experience, additional training and support can be provided.
