We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established growing business in the Nottingham area who are looking for a laser programmer to join their team
The shifts for this role are 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday.
Your day to day will include:
• Producing laser cutting programs from customer drawings and CAD files.
• Generating production documents, this includes route cards and work instructions
• Creating nests to maximize the use of materials and reduce waste.
• Liasing with estimating and sales regarding manufacturing and material requirements.
• Reviewing customer drawings
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Communicating with the shop floor to support with any programming queries
• Support with continuous improvement by reviewing programming methods
• Supervising day to day operations in the laser cutting area
We would like to hear from you if you have:
• Previous experience programming laser machinery
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Experience using CAD / CAM software
• Computer literate
• Background within a manufacturing or engineering business
