Your Role
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating reliable and efficient programmes for the manufacture of precision-engineered components. Working closely with machinists and the wider production team, you will ensure new and existing jobs are produced safely, accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating, editing and optimising CNC programmes
Programming components from detailed engineering drawings
Supporting machine set-ups and proving out new jobs
Selecting suitable tooling, cutting speeds and feeds
Improving cycle times, machining methods and overall efficiency
Troubleshooting programming and machining issues
Supporting machinists with technical queries
Maintaining accurate programme records and version control
Working with production teams to achieve quality and delivery targets
Contributing ideas to continuous-improvement projects
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working as a CNC Programmer
Strong knowledge of CNC Fanuc controls
Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
Good understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds and feeds
Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
Offline programming experience would be beneficial but is not essential
