The Role
This is a comprehensive role involving programming, setting, and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis machines. You will be working on a variety of projects, including large-scale parts up to 2.5m, requiring a “right first time” approach to high-precision engineering.

Core Responsibilities

* Programming & Setting: Full responsibility for programming, setting, and operating CNC Mills (Heidenhain) to optimum safe methods.

* Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture parts to tight tolerances.

* Documentation: Create detailed layout sheets for tooling, setups, and machine parameters to ensure repeatable quality.

* Quality Control: Self-qualify and document your own work using a variety of measuring equipment (MTE).

* Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest time and cost-saving ideas to improve production efficiency.

What You Bring

* Expertise: Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.

* Control Systems: Must be proficient in Heidenhain (Fanuc experience is a bonus).

* Machine Knowledge: Previous experience on Doosan, Matsuura, or Mazak platforms is preferred.

* Large-Scale Experience: Proven ability to work on large parts (up to 2.5m) and maintain high precision.

* Qualifications: A time-served apprenticeship is preferred; overhead crane and manual handling training is a plus (though training can be provided).
