CNC Press Brake Operator – Bystronic / TRUMPF
Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Salary: £32,500–£36,000 per annum
Shift: 4 On / 4 Off – 6:00am–6:00pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
The Opportunity
WLD Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join a well-established and growing precision sheet metal manufacturing business based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Our client has invested heavily in new machinery and manufacturing technology, offering an excellent opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking engineering environment with a strong focus on quality, employee development and continuous improvement.
Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, you'll be responsible for setting and operating Bystronic and TRUMPF CNC press brake machines, producing high-quality sheet metal components to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
*
Setting and operating Bystronic and TRUMPF CNC press brake machines.
*
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
*
Selecting appropriate tooling and carrying out machine setups.
*
Producing precision sheet metal components to required tolerances.
*
Performing first-off and in-process quality inspections.
*
Making adjustments to bending programmes and machine settings where required.
*
Working with a variety of sheet metal materials and component designs.
*
Maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and health & safety.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brake machines.
*
Experience with Bystronic or TRUMPF machinery would be advantageous.
*
Good understanding of sheet metal bending processes and tooling.
*
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*
Confident working independently and checking the quality of finished components.
*
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Salary & Benefits
*
£32,500–£36,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
*
4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern.
*
6:00am–6:00pm working hours.
*
Two paid 20-minute breaks per shift.
