Hours:  Full time

Salary: £16.00ph-£17.00ph

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a CNC Operator to join our clients successful team.

Duties of a CNC Operator:

Set up and operate CNC punch press machinery in accordance with job specifications.
Configure machine programs, tooling, and dies based on technical drawings and production requirements.
Load sheet metal materials safely and ensure correct alignment and positioning.
Perform test runs and make adjustments to achieve accurate cuts, shapes, and hole patterns.
Monitor machine performance throughout production and respond to alarms or irregularities.

What we would like from you:

Technical Expertise: Proven experience operating CNC punch press machinery, with the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and fabrication specifications.
Industry Experience: Typically 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in sheet‑metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
Software Knowledge: Familiarity with CAM programming software such as Amada AP100, BySoft, or equivalent systems used for punch press setup and nesting.
Mechanical & Measurement Skills: Competent use of measuring tools (calipers, gauges, rulers) and strong understanding of tooling, dies, and material behaviour.
Problem‑Solving Ability: Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and adjust settings for accuracy.
