Role: CNC Operator
Type: Permanent, full time
Hours: Mon- Fri, 8.00am - 5.30pm
Salary: £30,000 -£40,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Calmore, Southampton.
About:
Parkside recruitment are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a dynamic company based in Hampshire.
Our clients sources, designs, and fits lightweight stone products.
Role:
As an CNC Operator you will be responsible for operating a range of CNC equipment to produce high-quality stonework.
Duties:
Operate 5-axis Stone CNC machining centres & 3-axis Waterjet CNC machining centres
* Programming and interpretation of drawings
* Creation of CNC drawings
* Machine & plant maintenance
* Tool stocking & checking of tools
* Daily pre-operation checks on specific machines
* Quality control & checking of manufactured products
* Design for Manufacture (DFM) thinking and analysis
* Problem-solving
* Assist with general shop floor housekeeping and maintenance
* Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient workflow
* General Health & safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures
Candidate Requirements:
* Education in an engineering background
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Ideally experience working with CAD and thinking in 3D
* Understanding of construction/masonry drawings
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
* Basic understanding of CNC operation
* Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
* Great interpersonal and communication skills
* Time management and organisational skills with good attention to detail
* A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to self-manage
* Sense of ownership and pride in performance
* Willingness to learn and positive problem-solving attitude
