CNC Operator
£13.20ph Corby, Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm Permanent after successful temporary period, Immediate Start.
Our client has been established for over 40 years as a leading manufacturer of high-quality precision cutting equipment supplying the wide format printing and sign-making industry and picture framing industries.
Duties:
Daily activities include operating CNC mills and lathe to produce high quality components.
Take responsible for quality checks and final test to meet and ensure company standards are met
Undertake required daily total productive maintenance
Actively contributing to, and participating in, continuous improvement initiatives.
Housekeeping of work area, ensuring H&S regulations are always adhered to.
Assist colleagues in other areas as and when required by supporting the company's continuous improvement programme.
Undertake training as required.
The Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a machine shop environment.
Good knowledge of Fanuc control systems and previous experience working with with Haas CNC's would be advantageous
Excellent attention to detail, good eyesight with the ability to produce quality work.
Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Mechanically minded with the ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings.
Have the ability to be able to work with multiple hand tools, pillar drills & belt driven sanders.
Able to manage own work and deliver on time.
We would expect the successful CNC Operator, to demonstrate previous experience in a similar production role. We are keen to hear from candidates who have worked within manufacturing and assembly, who have the ability to work as part of a quality focused team and work well to time deadlines, with training provided.
