Cnc Operator

Description:

Mazco Recruitment is working with a well-established precision engineering company in Chelmsford that is looking to recruit a CNC Operator / Semi-Skilled Machinist to join their growing manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who is looking to develop their skills within a modern machine shop producing high-quality precision components.

The Role

* Loading and operating CNC milling machines.

* Working on DMG, YCM and Haas CNC machining centres.

* Carrying out machining operations to meet production schedules.

* Performing basic quality checks using measuring equipment.

* Ensuring parts are produced to specification and quality standards.

* Liaising with the day shift team to understand priorities and work requirements.

* Providing a smooth and effective handover between shifts.

* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

* Following company health and safety procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience operating CNC milling machines.

* Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

* Knowledge of DMG, YCM or Haas machines would be advantageous.

* Able to read engineering drawings.

* Competent using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.

* Reliable, motivated and eager to learn.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
