CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator
Location: Abingdon
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering business. Working within a modern, well-equipped machine shop, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components for a range of industries including Aerospace, Medical, Nuclear, Scientific and Semiconductor.

Key Responsibilities
* Program, set and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.
* Interpret complex engineering drawings to manufacture components right first time.
* Produce tooling layouts, setup sheets and machine documentation to ensure repeatable manufacturing processes.
* Carry out self-inspection using a variety of measuring equipment and complete quality documentation.
* Work to tight tolerances while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
* Support and mentor colleagues where required.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
* Contribute ideas to improve productivity, efficiency and manufacturing processes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
* Previous experience programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
* Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls (Fanuc experience is advantageous).
* Experience working with machines such as Doosan, Mazak or Matsuura.
* Ability to manufacture complex precision components to tight tolerances.
* Experience carrying out your own quality inspection using metrology equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
