CNC Operator, Setter & Programmer
Annual Salary: £40,000-£45,000 plus bonuses
Working Days: Monday to Friday Weekly Hours: 40

Engineered Connections is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a distinguished engineering firm known for its expertise in Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly. We are seeking a proficient Miller Setter and Online Programmer Operator to manufacture advanced components for diverse and exciting sectors such as Energy, Medical, Defence, Rail, Aerospace, Transport, and Oil Exploration.
As our client's customer base grows and the demand for their exceptional services rises, we are offering an exciting opportunity for an adept CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to enhance our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will:
* Efficiently program, set, and operate CNC Milling machines.
* Possess extensive experience in CNC Milling machine programming.
* Be adept at reading engineering drawings.
* Consistently produce high-quality components.
* Be skilled in using engineering measurement tools like micrometers and verniers.
* Exhibit strong communication and time management skills.
* Be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
* Ability to program, set, and operate using Heidenhain control systems.
* Experienced in programming and editing.
* Capable of working with tight tolerances and managing medium to large batches of large components.
* Comfortable handling parts up to 2 meters in length with lifting equipment.
* An apprenticeship in CNC machining or 10 years of relevant experience.
* Profound knowledge of 3-4 axis CNC machines, appropriate cutting speeds and feeds, and geometric tolerances.
* Familiarity with ISO (Apply online only) is beneficial.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Machine intricate parts from materials like Aluminum, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
* Interpret engineering drawings, change tooling, and inspect components.
* Utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers, plug gauges, and verniers.
