Actio Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Christchurch who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their skilled machining team on a permanent day shift.
The Role
* Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Producing precision components to tight tolerances
* Editing and proving out programs at the machine
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters
* Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
* Maintaining quality and productivity standards
* Working closely with the production and quality teams
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator
* Ability to programme directly at the machine
* Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Haas or similar controls advantageous
* Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
* Competent using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges
* Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
