CNC Miller Setter – Evening Shift
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: Competitive + 1.33x shift premium
Hours: Evening shift
 
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded precision engineering and manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join their evening shift.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller to join a specialist engineering environment, working on precision components where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
 
The Role
As a CNC Miller Setter, you will be responsible for:

Setting and operating CNC milling machines
Setting tools, offsets and workholding
Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
Producing high-precision components to specification
Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks
Making machine adjustments where required
Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high-quality standards
Supporting efficient production across the evening shift 
About You
We're looking for someone with:

Previous experience as a CNC Miller / CNC Miller Setter
Strong CNC milling setting experience
Good understanding of tooling, offsets and workholding
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances
Excellent attention to detail
A quality-focused approach to your work
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
