Job Profile
Due to this growth, expansion, and re-investment into the most modern, state of the art CNC Machine Tools and equipment, there are now requirements for experienced CNC Machinists for their Miller department.
As the successful CNC Miller, you will be self-motivated, have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly to members of the team.
You must also have served an apprenticeship, coupled with 5 years’+ experience CNC Milling and be competent at writing / creating programs for the CNC Milling machines.
Duties:
* Programming Or Setting and Operating 5 axis CNC Machining centres with Heidenhain controls.
* Design and modelling of fixtures and work holdings.
* Produce small, complex batches of components to quality standards.
* Set up, prove out and operate the CNC Mills, producing small, medium, and sometimes large batch work and liaise with machine operators for the smooth running of long running production work.
* Involvement with continuous improvement.
* Machining of metals such as aluminium, titanium, super alloys, steels, and plastics such as acetyl, peek and nylon
Skills & Experience:
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Either able to create / write programs from scratch on the machines (using Heidenhain controls) OR edit, prove out and set CNC Mills (depending on your skill level).
* 5 axis Milling experience is a must.
* CADCAM / Offline Programming experience would be an advantage (especially with HyperMill).
Hours of Work:
* 40hrs per week.
* 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
* Overtime is available and regular - 5 to 10hrs+ per week, paid at x1.5hrs
