CNC Mazak Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mazak Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team in producing precision parts for the Aerospace and Mod industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, particularly with Mazak lathes, and possess a strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of precision and finish. This role requires working from engineering drawings to manufacture components to exact specifications using various materials.

Responsibilities:

1. Program, set up, and operate CNC Mazak lathes to produce precision parts for Aerospace and Mod applications.

2. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand requirements and tolerances.

3. Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each job.

4. Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, collets, tool holders, and cutting tools.

5. Write and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol programming language.

6. Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adjust machine settings as necessary.

7. Conduct regular inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.

8. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.

9. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any design or production challenges.

10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a CNC Mazak Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably within Aerospace or Mod industries.

2. Proficiency in programming and operating Mazak lathes, including experience with Mazatrol programming language.

3. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

4. Ability to work with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, titanium, and exotic alloys.

5. Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and techniques.

6. Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.

8. Good communication and teamwork skills.

9. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

10. Relevant certifications or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
