Description:

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a rewarding dayshift role with the bonus of an early finish on Fridays? Look no further! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC and Manual Machinist to join our close-knit manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating both CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components according to exact specifications. You will be responsible for operating various CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, and drill presses, while consistently ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support the Machine Shop Team Lead in achieving team and company objectives with a focus on Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery.

* Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

* Operate CNC lathes and machining centres efficiently and effectively.

* Set up and operate conventional manual lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.

* Complete routine tasks such as timesheet entries accurately.

* Inspect and ensure the quality of manufactured components.

* Liaise with the Machine Shop Team Leader on issues affecting current requirements and outputs.

* Encourage effective communication across all departments.

* Provide support to other departments as needed.

* Follow the company's Quality Management System rigorously.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Proficiency in operating CNC and conventional lathes and milling machines.

* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

* Understanding of machine processes with the ability to improve them where practical.

* Basic computer literacy for data input tasks.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce parts within tolerance.

* Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tools.

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

* Excellent communication skills.

* Practical skills and a mechanical background, including the use of hand tools.

* Strong time management and punctuality.

* Exceptional attention to detail.

* Commitment to good housekeeping practices.
