Role: CNC Maintenance Technician

Location: Clevedon

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

My client is looking for a CNC Maintenance Technician to join their busy manufacturing team based in Clevedon.

This is a hands-on maintenance position with a strong electrical bias, supporting a range of modern production machinery and equipment. You'll be responsible for keeping machinery running reliably, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance, whilst also helping to improve the overall reliability and efficiency of the site.

Responsibilities include:

Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across production equipment.
Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding to identify the root cause of failures.
Completing both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
Working on CNC and other automated production machinery.
Testing and inspecting electrical systems and installations.
Identifying, sourcing and ordering replacement components and spares.
Working closely with production operators, managers, engineers and external contractors.
Supporting continuous improvement projects and helping to introduce improved maintenance practices.
Contributing to a strong culture of reliability, quality and continuous improvement.
Working with external suppliers and contractors where required.
Maintaining high standards of health and safety and following site engineering procedures.

Skills and Experience:

A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC or HND qualifications in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline.
Previous experience working within a manufacturing or CNC environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
Good mechanical maintenance knowledge.
A practical understanding of mechatronics and automated machinery.
Experience with preventative and planned maintenance systems.
The ability to diagnose faults and identify the root cause of equipment failures.
A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently when required.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and engineering teams.
A flexible approach to overtime and supporting a small engineering team when required.

Working Hours

The role operates on a 2-week rotating shift pattern:

Early Shift
Monday to Thursday: 05:50 - 14:00
Friday: 05:50 - 11:20

Late Shift
Monday to Thursday: 13:50 - 22:00
Friday: 11:10 - 16:40
