Sector: Engineering & ManufacturingWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients production team at a leading Manufacturer in the Northeast of England. With over 40 years of experience, they specialise in manufacturing components and systems in the oil & gas sector.
Day to Day of the role:
Operate CNC machines, including turning and milling, to produce products that meet required quality standards and specifications.
Program CNC machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain systems, depending on the role.
Understand and work within specified tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
Use various measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges.
Work with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Time-served CNC machinist with turning and/or milling experience.
Experience in a CNC Machining/Industrial Engineering environment.
Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines.
Familiarity with a wide range of materials and the ability to work to precise specifications.
Strong understanding of measuring equipment and quality control processes.
