CNC Machinist
Job Role
To produce components according to drawing specifications or specific instructions while consistently adhering to housekeeping and safety procedures.
Main duties
* Set up and operate CNC machine tools.
* Verify that all relevant drawings, procedures, and instructions are up to date before starting work.
* Handle materials and tools safely.
* Operate the machine safely and competently according to the manufacturer's instructions, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards as per QHSE policies and procedures.
* Inspect the manufactured component after completing the operation before release.
* Keep the work area clean, wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
* Assist in the training of apprentices.
* Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
* Maintain material certification and traceability for all materials used.
* Mentor developing machinists within the manufacturing team.
Remuneration
On offer is a salary of up to £39500
