The Role
We're looking for an experienced CNC Turner/Machinist who can confidently set, operate, and adjust machine tools to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
You'll be trusted to work from engineering drawings, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to a team that prides itself on delivering first-class workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment
Produce high-quality precision components to specification
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
Carry out component inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
Make tooling offsets and minor programme adjustments when required
Monitor machining processes to ensure efficiency and quality
Work to production deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards
Follow health & safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards
What We're Looking For
Essential
✔ Strong CNC Turning experience
✔ Experience setting and operating machining equipment
✔ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
✔ Knowledge of machining tolerances and precision engineering practices
✔ Competent with measuring and inspection equipment
✔ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
CNC programme editing experience
Milling or grinding experience
Engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 engineering qualification
