Description:

Hales Group are recruiting for a CNC Machinist / Toolmaker to join our client based in Beccles, Suffolk.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global manufacturer within a skilled Toolroom environment. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll be responsible for manufacturing new tooling, maintaining existing tooling and supporting production operations with high-quality precision engineering solutions.
 
Package & Benefits
Location - Beccles, Suffolk
Hours - Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:00
Salary - £37,405.55 per annum

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture new tooling and ancillary components using a variety of machine tools and equipment
Maintain and repair existing tooling to support production requirements
Carry out CNC milling and turning activities to produce high-quality components
Work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications
Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality finish requirements
Use precision measuring equipment to inspect and verify completed work
Support production teams with tooling and engineering-related requirements
Ensure all work meets required quality and workmanship standards
Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures at all times
Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the Toolroom
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support operational efficiencies  
Requirements

NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience within a machining, toolmaking or precision engineering environment
Milling and turning experience
CNC machining experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Desirable

Toolmaking experience
Hurco control experience
Fanuc control experience
Toolroom environment experience
Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training
