CNC Machinist
Location: Newcastle
* Rate of Pay: £16.46 – £18.46 per hour (depending on experience)
* Standard Hours: Mon – Thurs, 07:00 – 16:45
* Future Shift Opportunities (Post-Training): *
Days: 07:00 – 19:00 \(Mon – Thurs\) \| £19.26 p/h (17% increase)
Nights: 19:00 – 07:00 \(Mon – Thurs\) \| £22.43 p/h (36.29% increase)
Benefits: Pension (matched up to 6%) and Quarterly Production Bonus (up to £360)
About the Role We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists to ensure the safe, day-to-day running of allocated machines and achieve manufacturing targets.
Key Requirements
Experience:
CNC turning and milling, machine setting/operation, and working to demanding tolerances.
Experience with bespoke low batch manufacturing and large diameters (up to 2.3 meters) is advantageous.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, use various measuring equipment (metric and imperial), and ensure product traceability.
Qualifications:
Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in an engineering-related discipline.
