Description:
Our client in Gateshead is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming experience, preferably a turner, to join their well-established precision engineering team.
About the Role:
Our client requires an experienced CNC Turner who can program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:
* Programming and operating CNC lathes (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar)
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Setting tools and making necessary adjustments during machining
* Carrying out quality checks on finished components
* Maintaining machinery and adhering to safety standards
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner with programming skills
* Strong knowledge of machining processes and technical drawings
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently both independently and within a team
* Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
