This is a fantastic time to join us at QA Weld Tech. We have recently joined the Express Engineering Group who employ nearly 300 employees across their two Company’s, Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech) and Express Engineering (Gateshead).

We are looking for a number of CNC Machinists to join our production team and currently have vacancies for the following skill sets:

* CNC Turner with Fanuc setting/programming experience

* Millers with Heidenhain setting/programming experience

To be successful in this CNC Machinist role at Express Engineering, you will:

* Be time served CNC machinist with turning and or milling experience.

* Experience of working in a CNC Machining / Industrial Engineering environment

* Have experience of programming and operating machines to produce product of the required quality standards and specification.

* Have an understanding of tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes

* Have the ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges

* Be familiar with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium

* Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment

* Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements

* Be willing to increase your knowledge and train on other machining processes

* Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others
