Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: Up to £23.00 per hour + Shift Allowance
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Ferndown for skilled CNC Millers and CNC Turners to join their permanent night shift team.
We are looking to speak with experienced Programmer Setter Operators and Setter Operators who have a strong machining background and are confident working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls.
The Role
As a CNC Miller or CNC Turner, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components to customer specifications while maintaining excellent standards of quality and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines (where applicable)
* Setting and operating CNC machines from existing programs
* Working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls
* Tool setting, offsets and program editing
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Manufacturing components to tight tolerances
* Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
* Ensuring quality and productivity targets are achieved
* Maintaining a safe and organised work area
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Turner
* Experience as a Programmer Setter Operator or Setter Operator
* Good knowledge of Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Strong quality awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
