CNC Machinist

Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a CNC Machinist (Programme Setter Operator) on behalf of a long established Engineering client based in Teesside

Overview:

To set, program, and operate large CNC vertical or horizontal borers to machine a range of castings, forgings, profiles, and fabrications, in various metals.

Working with the production support team, including planning engineer, machine shop supervisors, team leaders, quality management, and CNC manufacturing engineer, to work on interesting and challenging projects and meet our customers’ high standards.

Skills and Qualification

Essential

* Time-served (Machine Shop apprenticeship)

* Experience with vertical borers or horizontal borers – can be manual

* Able to set one-off jobs Experience with components 1m and over

* Measurement skills with manual equipment (dimensions and surface finish)

* Able to read engineering drawings

Desirable:

* Programming skills (Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhein)
