Description:
Experienced CNC Machine Operator required for precision engineering company based on the outskirts of Plymouth. The successful candidate will be required to operate CNC Machinery and carry out basic quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and Operating of CNC machinery using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
* Setting up small and large batch runs.
* Undertaking batch reworks as and when required.
* Quality inspection of completed batches and components.
* Ensuring tooling is fitted correctly and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
* Reading engineering drawings.
* Using analogue and digital measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres.
* Completing necessary checks to ensure the smooth running of machinery – e.g. coolant and oil checks and general machine health & safety.
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:
* Previous CNC Operating experience using Fanuc / Heidenhain controls from an Engineering environment is essential.
* Experienced with reading Engineering drawings.
* Experienced with using analogue and digital measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres.
* An excellent eye for detail.
The successful candidate must be able to commit to a weekly rotating shift comprising of the following:
* Day Shift – Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday’s 07:00 to 13:00.
* Late Shift – Monday to Thursday 15:30 to 01:30.
