We are recruiting an experienced Grinder to join an established engineering team based in Wigston, Leicester, producing high-quality, precision-engineered components for demanding applications.

The Working Hours - Rotating Shifts
Morning Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am
Afternoon Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Friday: 11:30am - 5:00pm
The Role
As a CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for setting and operating grinding machinery to manufacture precision components to exceptionally tight tolerances and exacting quality standards.
Working with materials including titanium, maraging steels and super alloys, you will play an important role in ensuring components meet demanding engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting, operating and adjusting CNC grinding machinery.
Carrying out precision grinding to achieve tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes.
Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Conducting in-process inspections using micrometers, bore gauges and other precision measuring equipment.
Monitoring grinding wheels, tooling, dressing cycles and machine performance.
Ensuring all components meet the required quality standards.
Maintaining accurate production and inspection records.
Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised working environment.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working as a CNC Grinder or Manual Grinder.
Experience with cylindrical, surface or internal grinding would be advantageous.
Ability to work to tight engineering tolerances.
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
