Our client is a leading MRO supplier to the precision manufacturing industries & we are assisting their growth, in recruiting for an experienced applications engineer to join their expanding team.
With a reputation for exceptional quality and reliability, their engineers are nationally renown. They have a strong network of engineers across the UK, along with additional technical support staff who are office based.
Benefits include an excellent base salary of up to £42,500 depending on experience, Uncapped Commission, Company car, mobile phone, laptop, 35 days holiday, private pension, healthcare, full sick pay, death in service, company credit card and yearly pay rises. On top of the above, you will also receive a £50 per month broadband payment, as well as the opportunity to earn commission / bonus on top of your salary, dependent on performance.
Responsibilities for the role include:
Winning clients through your expertise knowledge within Offline Programming.
Design and preparation of customer demo's and production cycle time estimations
Programming of FANUC multi axis lathes and mills, using CAM software and at the machine
Assisting with brand new machine commissioning on site with customers
Providing customers and end users with training, troubleshooting and applications support
Process development, programme improvements and overall continuous improvement to ensure customers receive the best possible service.Use of various types of CAM Packages for producing programmes. You'll be working within an already established team of engineers, collaborating and working towards the same goal, so being able to work effectively with colleagues, as well as representing the brand on site with customers is absolutely essential.
This position is a work from home position, traveling to customer sites in Scotland (Central Belt). Having flexibility to cover various areas of the UK, and work away from home with overnight stays is essential.
We would love to hear from you, if you've previously worked in any of the following roles -
Applications Engineer, Turning Applications specialist CNC Programmer, CAM Programmer, CNC Manufacturing Engineer
Ability to programme turning lathes, milling machines and ideally machining centres
Strong knowledge of at least 1 type of CAM software package
Experience working with FANUC controls
Willingness to travel around Scotland.
