4 days on 4 off: 6am to 6pm

£27,481 to £37,823 plus 33% shift premium (£36,549.73 to £50,304)

The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading Machine Tool manufacturer that has been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak and are seeking a CNC 5 Axis Milling Setter/Operator to join the Machining Department.

Job Description

Setting and operating large Versatech 5 Axis machining centres.
Producing a wide and varied range of highly toleranced parts used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
Understanding CNC controls and being able to program, edit and improve existing and new parts.
Working as part of a team of fellow engineers while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
Contributing to a positive workplace culture by engaging in H&S improvements and Kaizen initiatives.
Essential Criteria

Solid understanding and experience of operating CNC-controlled machining centres.
Demonstrable experience of safely using CNC controls.
A positive, can-do attitude.
Previous experience working as part of a team within a busy manufacturing environment.
Desirable Criteria

Experience programming from engineering drawings using Mazatrol CNC controls.
Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent qualification.
Shift Pattern: The role will operate on a continental shift pattern following a period of training on double-day shifts.

Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
