CMM Quality Inspector
Location: Thetford, Norfolk
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
We are recruiting an experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join an established precision manufacturing business in Thetford.
This role would suit an Inspector with strong CMM and dimensional inspection experience, who is confident inspecting precision-engineered components against technical drawings and tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out dimensional inspection of precision-manufactured components using CMM equipment.
*
Operate and program CMMs, ideally with experience using PC-DMIS.
*
Complete first-off, last-off and final inspections.
*
Interpret complex engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
*
Use a range of manual inspection equipment alongside CMMs, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges.
*
Identify, document and quarantine non-conforming components.
*
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
*
Support PPAP, Gauge R&R, machine trials and continuous improvement activities.
*
Work within an ISO 9001:2015 quality environment.
About You
*
Previous experience as a CMM Inspector, Quality Inspector, Metrology Inspector or CMM Programmer within precision engineering or manufacturing.
*
Strong hands-on CMM inspection experience.
*
CMM programming experience is highly desirable, particularly PC-DMIS.
*
Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
*
Comfortable using a range of manual dimensional inspection equipment.
*
Knowledge of PPAP, Gauge R&R and ISO 9001 would be advantageous.
