CMM Programmer
Salary: £16.00-£20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:30
Contract: Permanent
Location: Andover
A precision engineering and advanced manufacturing business is seeking an experienced, detail-focused CMM Programmer to join its Inspection & Quality function. You'll be responsible for programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect complex, high-precision machined components, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities:
Program CMM machines using PC-DMIS
Create and edit CMM inspection programmes
Perform a variety of inspection techniques including first-off, in-process and final inspections
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
Use manual inspection equipment (micrometres, verniers, gauges, height gauges, etc.)
Support root cause investigations and quality improvement activity
Experience Required:
Proven experience programming and operating CMM machines
Strong experience with PC-DMIS
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings
Experience inspecting high-precision machined components
Excellent knowledge of inspection techniques and quality standards in manufacturing
Confident using manual measurement equipment (micrometres, gauges, verniers, height gauges)
