Our client designs, manufactures, and assembles precision forged and machined components at their fully integrated facility in the heart of the UK. We have a selection of shifts avaliable:
* Nights - Week
* Weekend days
* Fixed Term Contract - Weekend days
* Days - Week
What will you be doing?
Operate CMM Machines: Safely and effectively run CMM machines and understand their principles.
Deliver Precision: Ensure components meet customer requirements with accurate measurements.
Influence Quality: Drive machine utilization and first-time-right measures.
Maintain Standards: Ensure product quality, batch traceability, and adhere to documentation procedures.
Routine Checks: Perform daily equipment checks and maintain departmental housekeeping.
Support CNC Operators: Interpret data and provide feedback for potential offsets.
Error Checking: Oversee manual measurement equipment and CAD error checks.
Training: Attend CMM Level 1 and GD&T external courses.
Innovate: Create new probe and DAT files and carry out verification checks with master artefacts.
What will you bring to the party?
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Flexibility to work with little supervision across shift patterns.
* Forklift truck and/or overhead crane license (or willing to train).
* Understanding of engineering drawings.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC DMIS.
* Solid grasp of CMM principles, with Level 1 experience as a minimum.
* Good understanding of statistical process control
* Excellent interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and achieve business objectives.
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication style.
